Frequently Asked Questions

What are your hours of operation?

We are officially open from 9:00am to 6:00pm Monday-Friday, but can be flexible depending on your schedule.

We also provide a concierge service and are available to come to your home for your physical therapy sessions. Your comfort level is of utmost importance to us, just give us a call to schedule.

Do you accept insurance?

Flow Physical Therapy works with all insurances. As a courtesy, our staff will contact your insurance carrier and verify your physical therapy benefits. We will also prepare and submit the required claim forms on your behalf. Please give us a call to discuss in further detail.

Do you need a prescription for physical therapy?

New York State law allows patients to see a physical therapist without a prescription for up to 30 days or 10 visits (whichever comes first). Any sessions after that time will require a prescription.

How long are the sessions?

All sessions with our physical therapists are scheduled for 60 minutes

What can I expect during my initial session?

We ask that you arrive 15 minutes early to allow time to complete all new patient paperwork. Please bring your insurance ID card, prescription (if applicable) and any related medical documents.

We will review your medical history and complete a thorough physical exam. To get a sense of your body and where you may be experiencing pain, discomfort and/or limitations, we will perform some hands-on work and light stretching. At the end of the session, we will discuss findings, goals for recovery and prepare a personalized treatment plan. We’ll also instruct you in a home exercise program to supplement our work together.

What should I wear to my sessions?

We will provide you with a gown for your first session. After that, we recommend you wear comfortable clothes that allow you to move freely.

What is your cancellation policy?

Please give us a call at least 24 hours in advance of your appointment if you need to cancel or reschedule.
